#Personality ;
This young girl is full of energy and can usually be found zipping around on her scooter. She's loyal to her friends, but also incredibly vulnerable to peer pressure. She has to be very careful about who she associates with, or they could talk her into quite a bit of trouble. She's impatient and brash, and can be kind of crude at times. Most of the time, her thoughts will go straight out her mouth, even when it's not exactly the best thing to say.
Scootaloo herself can also be a bad influence on her friends, sometimes convincing them to do things that aren't very safe. In this situation, it's best to suggest a different activity. Depending on what's suggested, she may be a little grumpy that her suggestion wasn't taken, or she may forget all about the potentially dangerous situation she had proposed and become even more excited about the new idea on the table.
Even though she's had a bit of a troubled childhood, she hides it well. Most of the time she can put on a brave face, and sometimes it isn't even an act. She's rather reckless and has little regard for her own safety, though this is usually masked by eagerness and faux bravery. In addition to this, she also has quite a few insecurities which could be easily exploited.
#History ;
Fourteen years ago, a girl was born to a pair of young, ambitious parents. Her mother, a well-respected member of an elite flight team, and her father, a nurse at one of the most prestigious hospitals in the country. They were both thrilled at the prospect of having their own child, and gave the girl a name they'd both agreed on: Scootaloo.
Scootaloo's early childhood was a happy one. Despite their demanding jobs, they both found plenty of time to spend with the child, and she got essentially anything she wanted. She was every bit her mother's daughter, and from the very beginning put her mother high above anyone else. However, when Scoots was about eight years old, a tragedy occurred. Something went wrong during one of her mother's performance, and she lost control of the plane. Though emergency responders reacted quickly, she didn't survive the crash, and Scootaloo was left without a mother.
The incident changed more than just the number of parents she had. Her father withdrew from her and began spending more and more time at the hospital. He took as many shifts as they would allow him to, and when he was home, he refused to stay in the same room as his daughter for any notable length of time. She reminded him of his wife far too much. It wasn't long before the neglect began to show and a teacher of Scootaloo's noticed. A social worker was sent to assess the home life of the young girl, and her father was quickly declared unfit to raise a child. Scoots was then placed in foster care.
For the first few months, she was moved quite a few times until she was settled into a foster home that would house her long-term. She became rather withdrawn after being separated from her father, making few friends at school and distancing herself from the ones she'd had before. Other students came to regard her as an outcast though she had been rather popular before. This continued through middle school and only changed when she arrived at Canterlot High, where she bonded with two other freshman. The three formed a club of sorts, calling themselves the Club Member Crusaders. With none of them being sure which clubs they wanted to join, they decided to join different clubs together in order to figure out what they were good at.
Many other things changed in high school as well. For example, Scootaloo decided to try out for the soccer team, especially after seeing her idol, Rainbow Dash, was on it. She easily made the Junior Varsity team, something she was rather proud of. In addition to being something she had in common with RD, it also meant she didn't have to go back to the foster home for an extra hour or two most afternoons.
There was also the incident with Sunset Shimmer, of course. Scoots was never sure exactly what had happened, only that the popular girl had somehow tried to turn the entire student body into a zombie army. It sounded awesome in theory, but it wasn't that fun being a zombie she found. After the event, she wasn't sure if she wanted to forgive the older girl, but seeing Dash being friendly with her convinced her she should at least be civil. The freshman was definitely a bit disappointed when the school had to close for repairs, because it meant there wouldn't be any soccer practice (or scrimmages against the varsity team), but on the other hand, no school!The Roleplayer's Corner

Races were totally Scootaloo's thing. If she were to name one thing that was her "thing," it would be races. Well, no, it would probably be scootering, but still. She loved races. She may have only been a freshman, but she was going to win this race so hard.
It would be a bit before the race itself would start, so most of the racers weren't on the track yet. Scoots herself was off to the side, stretching her legs. After all, she couldn't win if she pulled a muscle! Several of the other competitors had had the same idea, and the freshman was near the middle of the group.
Straightening up after touching her toes, she reached her hands out and swung them in a circle, stretching her torso. Unfortunately, she had not checked the area around her first, and she felt her hand collide with someone else's face.
