To the victor go the spoils. That's an old saying right? Well Lyra and Sunset Shimmer had been victorious over Discord today, so that meant they should get spoils right? What would a pair of magical girls get though? Technically they had gained quite a lot from the ordeal. Sunset Shimmer had received a reminder from her home, and earned herself the everlasting friendship of Lyra Heartstrings. Lyra had forged a friendship with someone she thought (in the past) was impossible, and in doing so and denying Discord's gift of power, had earned her magical powers of her own.
That was all well and awesome, but couldn't there be a little more? Its not like they could look up their Xp bar. Not to mention they didn't live in an Rpg. The next best thing was Pizza. It had been Lyra's ideas. Sports teams got pizza after they played a good game, so why shouldn't they? Sunny had been hungry after the ordeal anyways.
Lyra had loaded her bike up in the trunk of Sunny's car and went with her to take care of the Poison Joke flowers. They had gone back to Sunset's place where she could take care of the flowers, and get cleaned up. Lyra had used the time to call Bon Bon and tell her to get her butt over to her place because something amazing happened, and order some pizza. Lyra was a bit glad Sunset hadn't been in the room when she ordered. It's one thing to have your best friend's phone number memorized and in your phonebook on your phone... its another to have a bunch of delivery restaurants there too.
After driving to pick up the food what happened next was a big rarity. Lyra gave Sunset directions to her home. Without the fact that she was willingly giving an ex-demon turn by turn directions to her home, it was the fact that she was doing it at all which was rare. Lyra wasn't comfortable telling people where the place was, normally. Today, though, she had received magical powers, and helped fight of a fire breathing bird with rainbows. It was safe to say today wasn't normal.
The Heartstrings' residence resided in the lower income side of Ponyville. It wasn't a bad place, but she had grown up in Ponyville in a good house, and now she was in a two-bedroom apartment. By the time the pair had parked, Bon Bon was already waiting at the gate. "We'll explain inside." Lyra said to her as she opened the gate for her two friends and showed them the way to her place.
Lyra's apartment was on the top floor, and Lyra had to unlock both the door and a deadbolt to get in. She wheeled her bike in and set it against a short wall that was by the door to try and make a small entryway, then she slipped off her by her bicycle. "Since this is your first time here Sunny, she said it's okay Bon Bon, here's the ten cent tour. Straight across from the door is the kitchenette. You can help yourself to drinks, just don't take the last of any of them. Just set the pizzas on the counter." Lyra motioned with an arm straight ahead. It was a small kitchen with a combination stove/oven, fridge with the freezer above it, and a single bowl sink. A counter cut it off from most of rest of the place. A small four-seat table off to the side was considered the dining area.
"Off to your right is the living room." she continued. It consisted of two couches, an ottoman, a coffee table (where most of the eating was done) and a good-sized television. There was also a door to a small balcony that overlooked the inside of the apartment complex. "The Bathrooms at the start of the hall to the left of the kitchen, beyond that are the bedrooms. Mine has the sticky light socket from the tv commercials on it. The red bulbs there to show when I'm recording. No going into the bedrooms without permission, especially mine."
Overall the condition of the apartment was well lived in. Obviously it hadn't been recently tidied up like guests were expected, or binge cleaned. Pillows on the couches where tossed about in disorder. There were a few items in the sink that needed to be washed. Magazines were scattered across the coffee table which also had an empty coffee cup on it. A cable of some sort hung out from behind the tv and down the front of its stand. Lyra's guitar was on a stand against a wall in the living room. It was custom painted to look like a lyre with a long neck on it and have a teal background. "So... this is it. I know... its not much, but I got a decent movie collection, and I can always hook up my laptop to the tv."
"So the short version of what happened Bon Bon is a magical flower gave me hooves, then Sunny tried to come save me when this thing that looks like it was designed by a kindergardener showed up, I got magical powers, and we fought off a fire-breathing bird with a rainbow."
